Certified Translation
A certified translation is one which fulfils the requirements of the country in which it is to be used, enabling it to be used in formal procedures such as passport and visa applications, as well as legal proceedings like marriages and divorces.
Proofreading
I offer proofreading/revision of existing English translations against the source text. As well as making objective corrections, I am able to advise on aspects of style and register.
Post-editing
I offer machine translation post-editing (MTPE) services and I have also undertaken training courses in this skill.
Revision
I have several years of experience and training in revising academic and scientific texts, such as those written for publication in journals. With my knowledge of German and Dutch language, I am also able to advise on English texts written by native speakers of these languages.
